abstract=An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist of fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. When Gandalf discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo must make an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it. However, he does not go alone. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir, and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin, and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, facing evil and danger at every corner the Fellowship of the Ring must go. Their quest to destroy the One Ring is the only hope for the end of the Dark Lords reign

The lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring watch full length video. This way a truly amazing movie. It stayed respectably and reasonably close to the book, and the directing and acting were both excellent. Elijah Wood, who I do not normally like, and Viggo Mortenson were especially good actors and really portrayed the emotions and thoughts of their characters. Cate Blanchett was a lovely Galadriel, though the scene where she was tested by the ring was the only slightly over-the-top ordeal. The special effects were very well done and not overwhelming, specifically Gollum. They did a good job of making the Hobbits and Dwavres smaller, and Boromir was portrayed very well by Sean Bean as a patriotic but weak-willed man; he did not seem foolish or evil. Of the "secondary" characters in the Fellowship (Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Merry, Pippin) Boromir was the best, and Gimli was not as well written as the others. Legolas was well played as a feminine but strong and occasionally vicious elf. All in all, a wonderful movie that I will definitely buy.
